Denver Newborn Photographer Posing Workflow - Wrapped up on Posing Bag
Once the Potato Sack Pose is complete in all the variety I can get from that, I will start unwrapping the baby (provided he/she is nice and sleepy). I will remove the first two wraps and leave the first layer on there for some sweet wrapped up poses with the baby all squishy and sweet with the feet showing. Sometimes I keep the hands in up near their face, sometimes I take one out and pose it by their sides. I also always try to get this shot backlit as well for even more variety. Here are some examples of that.
The next pose I do to unwrap them as slowly as possible is I take both arms out of the wrap, and I add another wrap to look like they are tucked in. You can post there arms above their heads (my personal favorite) or you can have them peaking out under their chins. Either way this is a favorite!
That is the last of the wrapped poses until later in the session depending on if we do the family portion first or last. The next pose will be the froggy pose, the most finicky but always a client favorite.
